Cal Net Technology Group defines top five ways small-to-midsize businesses can boost bottom line using technology in 2010

Technology is a tool business owners can use to increase productivity and profits

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19, 2009 – Cal Net Technology Group, a Southern California-based I.T. consulting and computer services company, is advising small-to-midsize business owners how to recover from the traumatic events of 2009 and return to profitable productivity in 2010.

"As businesses start to rebuild, it is important to keep top of mind what we learned during the recession," said Zack Schuler, CEO of Cal Net Technology Group. "Returning to old spending habits will no longer be acceptable in this new economy. Businesses, especially small organizations, need to advance without spending money like it is going out of style. One way business owners can accomplish this is by making each person in their organization as productive as possible. Technology is one tool business owners have in meeting this objective."
Featured on the company blog, Schuler shares five ways business owners can increase their bottom line in 2010 using technology.

Among the tips:

The cloud is coming, the cloud is coming! The technology business is in the middle of another greatly hyped evolutionary transformation – or is it? Installing new technology systems can be one of the largest capital expenses, and cloud computing has been touted as a replacement for enterprise servers and computing. Proponents argue that cloud computing allows SMBs to pay for the computing resources they need only. This change in purchasing behavior categorizes computing costs as an operating expense and helps with cash flow. However, with the grave security concerns of cloud computer, a better option could be to lease equipment. Businesses still can manage their cash flow better while investing in secure equipment they will own within five years. Oftentimes, the cost of leasing is less per month than the cost of cloud computing, too.

Cal Net Technology Group Releases Video Marketing Campaign Starring "Leave It To Beaver's" Tony Dow

Southern California's leader in IT consulting and computer support services embraces video marketing as a targeted way to reach prospective baby boomer clients

Los Angeles, CA (September 2009) –   Cal Net Technology Group has released a video marketing campaign starring Tony Dow, who is remembered fondly for his role as Wally on 1950's hit show, "Leave It to Beaver." The campaign was developed to engage CEOs and business owners who can relate to the difficulty of understanding technology and new trends as younger generations continue to innovate.

Cal Net Technology Group caters its IT support services to this demographic and aims to convey this message through the humorous, yet all-too-relatable campaign, which portrays Dow as an aggravated CEO in various "technologically challenging" situations.

"A great majority of our clients are lead by brilliant CEOs who have built their companies from literally nothing into multi-million dollar enterprises...before technology took a stronghold," remarked Cal Net CEO, Zack Schuler. "By creating an advertising campaign specifically with this generation in mind, starring someone they recognize from their younger, carefree days, we hope prospective clients will relate to the message and trust us with their I.T needs."

Using taglines like "Our I.T. support keeps you up to date" and "We promise never to forget you," the videos display a frustrated Tony Dow seeking advice on how to fix his Outlook program and use his "BlackBerry," which he apparently doesn't realize is actually a 1980's cellular phone.

Currently, Cal Net Technology Group is serving over 300 clients in Southern California to fulfill their IT consulting and computer support needs. Current industries served include healthcare, entertainment, education, government, not-for-profit, banking, manufacturing and professional services.

Time Warner Cable provides high speed, high quality Internet services to customers all throughout Southern California, however they don‘t reach "inside" of the customers network. Time Warner selected Cal Net Technology Group to refer to their clients when problems exist on the other side of the router, where desktops, servers, and other network gear are many times the cause of Internet connectivity issues.

"This is a remarkable relationship that we‘ve got with Time Warner Business Class" said Zack Schuler, CEO of Cal Net. "This is a true win-win for the customer, as from the desktop to the Internet, the customer can now be supported by our partnership. Time Warner provides their customers with world class Internet services, and we are proud to be associated with them."

CAL NET CEO WINS SMALL BUSINESS ENTREPRENEUR AWARD
WOODLAND HILLS, CA – June 15, 2005 – Cal Net Technology Group President and CEO Zack Schuler earned the prestigious "Small Business Entrepreneur Award" award, presented by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal during an awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Woodland Hills, California.

"I am thrilled to have received such an honor," said the 30 year old Schuler. "My father was an entrepreneur and ran his own business, so I saw the ups and downs first hand. But I also saw the freedom that was associated with owning your own company, so I always knew I wanted to build and grow a business."

Working out of his fraternity house in 1995, Schuler developed a technology consultant practice that grew to over 500 clients in two and a half years. This fledgling business ultimately provided the foundation for Cal Net Technology Group. After graduating from California State University, Northridge with his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and earning his Microsoft Certifications, Zack decided to change the focus of his business and transition into the networking and managed services field. Shortly after, the business thrived and expanded rapidly.

"We started in the small business market catering to companies of 50 PCs or less," Schuler said. "Over the past three years we've expanded into the medium enterprise market, though we continue to have a large small-business practice."

Since its inception, Cal Net has risen to become one of the larger independently-held network infrastructure and managed services firm in the San FernandoValley. Schuler attributes much of its success to providing outstanding customer service.

"Most of our business comes from referrals, because of the excellent quality of work we provide for our clients," Schuler said. "When we get a new customer I tell them that they aren't just a client of ours, we walk down the aisle with them. We become true business partners. When you walk in with a referral from another company, it is pretty easy to overcome the competition."

Cal Net Technology Group is an Information Technology consulting firm and outsourced computer services provider. Located in Northridge, California, they have been providing Enterprise-class technology solutions to businesses in Southern California for over 10 years.
